On April 3, 1982 Jim White and I ski toured six miles round trip to North Lake and nearby area. We left Independence early and drove to th ski trailhead at Aspendell. Skied up the road and on to North Lake. Visited the cabin at Schober's Pack Station and found in unlocked with firewood available. Decided it would make a good place for an overnight trip. Skied up toward Grass Lake and then back to the car. Decided to come back for Easter weekend.
