Sierra Nevada - Kennedy Meadows - Beach Creek-Casa Vieja Meadow

I backpacked in the Kennedy Meadows Area three times and did a day hike once. The area is in the Golden Trout and South Sierra Wilderness (which didn't exist at the time) and incluides some privately owned land that is used for cattle grazing. There is a 4-Wheel Drive road available to the public in this area.

The second backpack was on August 7-8, 1971 with 17 Explorers and 4 men of Explorer Post 360.

From the road near Beach Meadows hiked to Osa Meadow, Casa Vieja Meadow and camped along trail to Long Canyon. Beautiful meadows and trees - a nice hike.
