
Relaxing at 11,600' camp below Mt. Dade
On June 20-21, 1964 Post 360 (19 boys, 14 men) climber 13,635' Mt. Dade.
We left the Rock Creek road head about 9 a.m. Hiked to creek crossing at Morgan Pass approach, then past Gem Lakes to saddle on ridge at 11,600 feet in front of Mt. Dade and Bear Creek Spire.
Camped on level area at base of slope. Sunday route crossed snow slope to saddle south of Dade - then a rock scramble to the top.
25 or 26 of the 33 people made the peak.
